About this average
Approval is the most frequently polled question in American politics, so this tracker uses a short 14-day half-life and damps pollsters that publish weekly so no single tracker dominates. Adult, registered-voter and likely-voter samples are pooled; registered and likely-voter samples typically read one to three points more favourable for the president than all-adult samples.
